Dolce & Gabbana is not so much a return to the refinement of the classics as much as a fetching and lovely extension of them. It doesn’t boast anything enigmatic or sensational in its formulation; it is simply a gorgeously rich and sweet floral from which emerges a bracing exuberance of fruits, herbs, leaves and woods, all finished off with a sensuous drift of vanilla.
